Restorative Care
Why Restorative Care Matters
Restorative dentistry is all about bringing back the smile, function, and structure of teeth that are missing, damaged, or have big cavities. When teeth are hurt, it can make it tough to speak clearly or enjoy yummy foods, and a damaged or infected tooth might be causing your little one some serious pain.

At Tiny Teeth, we offer a variety of restorative treatments to help! From pulpotomies and pulpectomies for fixing those tricky dental nerves to crowns for teeth with big cavities, we’ve got it all covered. We also provide tooth-colored fillings for small cavities and space maintainers to keep the spot ready for those permanent teeth when a baby tooth gets lost too soon. We’re here to keep your child’s smile bright and healthy!
Why Repair Baby Teeth If They Fall Out?
Many people think that losing baby teeth too early won’t lead to any long-term oral health issues and that they don’t need to be replaced. But that’s not quite true. Besides keeping your child’s smile looking great and working well, baby teeth have some very important jobs.
First, baby teeth act as placeholders for permanent teeth. If a baby tooth is lost too soon, it can lead to jawbone loss, which may cause the surrounding teeth to shift and even change the shape of your child’s face. When teeth move around, it can create problems like overcrowding, misaligned bites, and neighboring teeth drifting into the space where the baby tooth used to be.
If we don’t take steps to keep your child’s teeth in line, the permanent tooth may get stuck and have trouble breaking through the gums.
That’s where we come in. Our doctors use space maintainers to hold the spot for the missing tooth. These handy little devices keep everything in place and guide the permanent tooth to come in as best as it can.

Tooth-Colored Fillings
At Tiny Teeth, we offer tooth-colored fillings that blend seamlessly with your child’s natural teeth. These fillings are not only strong and durable but also mercury-free, ensuring a safe and natural-looking solution for restoring your child’s smile!
Space Maintainers
After a tooth extraction, we will usually place a space maintainer to keep everything in place. This helps make sure your child’s other teeth don’t shift into the empty spot, helping your child grow in the best way they can.
Does Every Last Baby Tooth Need A Spacer Maintanier?
Not every prematurely lost baby tooth requires a space maintainer. They’re usually recommended for back teeth, but if the permanent tooth is expected to come in soon, Dr. Anya Preece may suggest that a space maintainer isn’t needed. She’ll go over all the details with you during your child's visit to ensure the best care.
